Our children and our young people are the most treasured members of both our families and our society at large – and at Goodwin it is no different. Children and young people and their families are central to everything we do at Goodwin, whether it be providing first-rate child-care and education facilities and parental support at our three state-of the-art Children’s Centres; or taking young people on trips as far a-field as Austria.

Our Children’s Centres (Marvell House, Fenchurch St and The Octagon) are at the very heart of our communities offering a wide range of services to all members of the community. They provide an array of support and training for families including midwifery, health visitor clinics, parentcraft, baby sensory sessions, family activity classes including healthy eating, counselling and play, home visits through Community Friends and family support workers, breast feeding support, parenting skills and much, much more.

The Marvell and Octagon Children's centres provide a wide range of activities for children and families in line with the priorities of Every Child Matters. Joining up services means that we can offer OFSTED registered childcare, family support and play sessions for children and their families  from pregnancy to thirteen years. There is a strong focus on health, ensuring that parent and child receive all the necessary support, advice and practical care and there is additional support to enable parents to secure voluntary and paid employment.

Our Youth Projects are run by our Youth Team and include the provision of numerous activities.
