Business Support
Enterprise (Business) Support:
Where ever possible:
- We will advertise your vacancies.
- We will recruit your staff.
- We will train your staff.
- We will mentor your staff – helping to reduce staff turnover.
- We will help resolve staff issues
- We will provide marketing advice.
- We will advise you on employment law.
In many cases this can be offered free of charge. Being an employer can often be an isolated experience – focusing on the day-to-day running of a business and meeting your customers requirements can leave little time to deal with staffing and training issues. We recognise these problems and can advise and assist employers with vacancy advertising, staff selection and recruitment; staff retention; employee training and mentoring; human resource issues; and professional legal advice from our established law-firm partners.
Enterprise(Business-Start up) Support:
- We will help you write a business plan
- We will help you apply for funding to get your business up and running
- We will give you access to further training and improve your business skills
- We will help you recruit and train your staff
- We will offer marketing advice and support
- We will offer mentoring from successful business owners
In many cases this can be offered free of charge. Have you got a business idea that you believe is a sure-fire winner but don’t know how to go about putting that idea into practice?
Our Team is available to support the requirements of any budding, would-be entrepreneurs. Whether you have drawn up a detailed business plan or are still simply thinking about doing so – we can offer advice and support to take it to the next level.
The Hull Enterprise Partnership (HEP)
Working with three other delivery partners across the city, HEP delivers innovative projects based around enterprise to:
- help boost people’s confidence in their search for jobs
- assist groups in creating private and social enterprise based businesses
- support individuals if they want to follow a self-employment route
- work with established businesses who recognise the need to grow through the recruitment and development of staff
- create cost saving strategies through environmental awareness initiatives
- develop corporate social responsibility activities at grass roots level, which are not only within budgets, but also add value to businesses in attracting and keeping staff and by making an impact in the local community
Our challenge for Hull is to develop an enterprise culture and encourage economic growth right at the heart of the city through the development of new enterprises, nurturing existing businesses and supporting enterprise growth.
