Being an employer can often be an isolated experience – focusing on the day-to-day running of a business and meeting your customers requirements can leave little time to deal with staffing and training isssues. Goodwin recognises these problems and has developed a comprehensive Employer Support Package designed to advise and assist employers with vacancy advertising, staff selection and recruitment; staff retention; employee training and mentoring; human resource issues; and professional legal advice from our established law-firm partners.

Also central to this support package is membership of, and access to, the Goodwin Family of Services.

FREE to all employers, their staff and all of their families and friends, this Goodwin Family of Services membership entitlement includes: access to our education and training courses and facilities; our back-to-work programmes; our free child-care facilities, parenting support/classes and meeting rooms at any of our 3 Children’s Centres; business start-up support and advice, support through pregnancy and childbirth with our Doula Programme; support through our healthier living programme; support, care and advice for any elderly or vulnerable members of your family; support, care and advice for any serving or former Services men and women and their families; support, advice, training, guidance and English language courses for members of ethnic minority communities and much, much more.

Through a rolling programme of Recruitment Fairs throughout the year in City-Centre Venues such as City Hall, Hull-Truck Theatre, the Guildhall and the Octagon, we will put employers in touch with thousands of potential employees – either through our own advertising and recruitment service or employers can have their own stand at these recruitment Fairs – FREE of charge.
