TARA Roundtable meeting
STAR's regular get-together for representatives of tenant and resident associations from across Hull. Your chance to listen to guest speakers and to share ideas, problems, experiences and information.
TARA Roundtable, Wednesday 11 May 2011, 6.15pm, The Conference Room, The Octagon, Walker Street, Hull
Come along to May's TARA Roundtable, your chance to get together with representatives of tenant and resident associations from across Hull and share ideas, problems, experiences and information.
Our guest speaker this month is Lou Duffy-Howard, Partnership Delivery Officer with Hull Citysafe. She will be talking about the new Neighbourhood Network, which has been set up to replace the functions formerly carried out by HANWaG, which supported and coordinated the activities of Neighbourhood Watch groups. The Neighbourhood Network is intended to support all community groups in the city that have in interest in community safety issues, which includes Neighbourhood Watch groups, but which also encompasses TARAs, traders associations and the like. Lou will explain how TARAs can get involved in the Neighbourhood Network and the benefits that it will bring to your group and its members.
The meeting will also feature updates from STAR and from Hull City Council Tenant Participation Team, as well as your opportunity to talk about what your TARA is involved in, get ideas for how to solve any problems that you might be experiencing, or share your recent success stories.
Hot and cold drinks will be available. A light buffet will be served from 6.30pm, and the meeting will commence at 7.00pm. We will aim to finish the meeting by 8.30pm. You can see the meeting agenda by clicking on the following link:
